Alfredo Graf - QEPD
Con gran pesar, Silvana y Flavio comunican el fallecimiento de su querido padre, Alfredo Graf, un hombre excepcional y de gran espíritu empresarial, una figura prominente en la industria inmobiliaria y de la automoción en Perú.
De niño, fue emigrante italiano debido a las circunstancias de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y el fascismo. Argentina lo acogió con generosidad, y fue allí donde inició sus emprendimientos. Lo hizo con el arte, representando a artistas extranjeros en dicho país, incluyendo a Pedro Vargas.
Con la llegada al poder de Perón, nuestro padre decidió emigrar a Perú, donde encontró un lugar que le dio la bienvenida y le brindó numerosas oportunidades.
Nuestro padre fue hombre de negocios con una visión muy amplia, fundador de Graf Automóviles S.A. y primer representante de Avis Rent a Car en Perú, ambas empresas ampliamente conocidas en los sectores de la automoción y turístico peruanos de aquel entonces. Su pasión por los automóviles no se limitaba a su negocio, sino que también se extendía a la pista de carreras.
Posteriormente, fundó la agencia inmobiliaria Alfredo Graf y Asociados, la cual creció, prosperó y se mantendrá activa en el mercado inmobiliario peruano.
A pesar de los desafíos e incertidumbres, nuestro padre siempre percibía las oportunidades y sabía sacar provecho de ellas.
También era un hombre con un corazón enorme. Fue presidente de los Boy Scouts del Perú, miembro del Patronato Pro Música Clásica, una organización sin ánimo de lucro que promueve la música clásica en Perú. Su pasión por el turismo y sus relaciones de amistad en ese sector lo llevaron a formar parte de Skål, una organización internacional dedicada al mismo. Su compromiso con el fortalecimiento de los lazos entre Italia y Perú se manifestó en su papel como socio fundador de la Cámara de Comercio Italiana en Perú. A lo largo de su vida, su generosidad se extendió más allá de estas actividades, ya que fue benefactor para diversas actividades durante muchos años, entre ellas, casas de reposo de adultos mayores y el cuerpo de bomberos de Magdalena.
Nosotros, sus hijos, siempre vimos a nuestro padre como un ejemplo de lo que se puede lograr, incluso a una edad avanzada como la suya. Ya mayor, no sólo se mantuvo vigoroso en sus actividades comerciales, sino también en su esfera social. Su capacidad de trascender las barreras generacionales era notable, creando lazos con diversas generaciones de muchas familias. Tuvo una vida plena y feliz, y partió en paz y con tranquilidad, rodeado de personas que lo querían.
Para quienes deseen asistir a la misa conmemorativa de la semana, ésta se llevará a cabo en la capilla de la parroquia Santa María Reina, San Isidro el lunes 12 de junio a las 18:00

It is with great sorrow that Silvana and Flavio announce the passing of their beloved father, Alfredo Graf, an exceptional man of great entrepreneurial spirit, and a prominent figure in the real estate and automotive industry in Peru.
As a child, he was an Italian emigrant due to the circumstances of World War II and fascism. Argentina welcomed him generously, and it was there that he began his ventures. He did so in art, representing foreign artists in that country, including Pedro Vargas.
With the coming to power of Perón, our father decided to emigrate to Peru, where he found a place that welcomed him and provided him with numerous opportunities.
Our father was a businessman with a very broad vision, founder of Graf Automóviles S.A. and the first representative of Avis Rent a Car in Peru, both companies widely known in the Peruvian automotive and tourism sectors at the time. His passion for cars was not limited to his business but also extended to the race track.
Subsequently, he founded the real estate agency Alfredo Graf y Asociados, which grew, prospered and will remain active in the Peruvian real estate market.
Despite the challenges and uncertainties, our father always saw opportunities and knew how to take advantage of them.
He was also a man with a big heart. He was president of the Boy Scouts of Peru, and a member of the Patronato Pro Música Clásica, a non-profit organisation that promotes classical music in Peru. His passion for tourism and his friendships in that sector led him to join Skål, an international organisation dedicated to tourism. His commitment to strengthening ties between Italy and Peru manifested itself in his role as a founding member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Peru. Throughout his life, his generosity extended beyond these activities, as he was a benefactor to various activities for many years, including nursing homes for the elderly and the Magdalena fire brigade.
We, his children, always saw our father as an example of what can be achieved, even at an advanced age like his. As he grew older, he not only remained vigorous in his business pursuits but also in his social sphere. His ability to transcend generational barriers was remarkable, creating ties with several generations of many families. He lived a full and happy life, and departed in peace and tranquillity, surrounded by people who loved him.
For those wishing to attend the memorial mass of the week, it will be held in the chapel of St. Mary Queen Parish, San Isidro on Monday 12 June at 18:00.
